San Roque Parish Community

The San Roque Parish Church is located in the barrio of San Roque, Macrohon Southern Leyte. San Roque is located near Padre Burgos, less than 15 minutes walking distance. Since 1960, there was always been an assigned Priest. In the San Roque Parish, there are also 15 chapels, in which regularly – mostly on a Sunday, a Holy Mass is held by a Lay Minister in all the chapels. only once a month the parish priest celebrating the mass, because those chapels are located in remote areas.

1992 (SGD) Rev. Fr. Wilson delos Reyes, started the repair and renovation of our Parish Church. In the year 2005 our actual Priest (SGD) Rev. Fr. Edmundo B. Resus, was able to motivate and convince many San Roquenhon’s to donate money, so that to today the church is fully repaired and renovated so the vision of many San Roquehon’s came true.
